BookJot Terms of Service

Version: beta-2
Effective Date: 18 March 2026

This document is provided in English and Thai.
If there is any conflict between the two versions, the English version shall prevail.

1. The Service

BookJot ("the Service") is a book tracking and community product operated by an independent developer based in Thailand.

The Service currently allows users to:

• browse books and series
• maintain a personal library
• track reading activity
• save purchases, borrowings, copies, and tags
• contribute optional public content such as ratings, reactions, reviews, and public collections

BookJot is currently provided as a beta service and may change over time.

2. Eligibility

Users must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

If you are under 13, you may not use BookJot.

3. Accounts

Some features require an account.

BookJot may support:

• email and password accounts
• Google sign-in
• anonymous or guest sessions for limited use

You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for maintaining the security of your login credentials.

4. User Content

Users may submit or create content through the Service, including:

• ratings
• reactions
• reviews
• personal and public tags
• public collections
• uploaded images or book-related media

You retain ownership of the content you create. However, by submitting content to BookJot, you give BookJot permission to host, store, display, and process that content as needed to operate the Service.

You are responsible for making sure you have the right to upload or share the content you submit.

5. Public and Private Contributions

Some BookJot features let you choose whether content is public or private.

Public content may appear in community-facing areas such as:

• aggregated rating summaries
• public reaction summaries
• public tag summaries
• review displays
• public collections

Private content remains visible only to you unless you explicitly choose to share it through a public feature.

If privacy settings are enabled, BookJot may mask or limit some profile details in public views.

6. Metadata and Accuracy

BookJot may contain metadata created or edited by users, administrators, imports, or automated cleanup tools.

While we may review and improve data quality, BookJot does not guarantee that all metadata is complete, accurate, or up to date.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• use the Service unlawfully
• upload harmful, abusive, infringing, or misleading content
• interfere with the operation or security of the Service
• abuse community or metadata tools
• attempt unauthorized access to accounts, data, or infrastructure

BookJot may suspend, restrict, or remove accounts or content that violate these Terms.

8. Moderation and Administrative Action

The Service operator may remove, edit, or restrict content that:

• violates these Terms
• is abusive, unlawful, or harmful
• infringes intellectual property or privacy rights
• damages the integrity or reliability of the Service

Administrative tools may also be used to maintain shared metadata quality.

9. Advertising and Paid Features

BookJot may display advertising to some users and may introduce paid plans or paid features in the future.

Advertising and paid access may differ by feature set, user tier, or account status.

If payments are introduced in the future, they may be handled by third-party providers.

10. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account.

When an account is deleted:

• private personal data will be removed where reasonably possible
• some public contributions may remain in anonymized form to preserve community information

This may include certain public reviews, public tags, or public collections after the user identity is removed.

11. Service Availability

BookJot is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

Because this is a beta service, features may be modified, interrupted, or discontinued at any time without prior notice.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, data permanence, or error-free operation.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BookJot and its operator are not liable for:

• data loss
• service interruption
• metadata inaccuracy
• indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service

Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

13. Governing Law and Contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Thailand.

เอกสารฉบับนี้จัดทำทั้งภาษาอังกฤษและภาษาไทย
หากมีความขัดแย้งกันระหว่างสองภาษา ให้ถือข้อความภาษาอังกฤษเป็นหลัก

1. บริการ

BookJot ("บริการ") เป็นผลิตภัณฑ์สำหรับติดตามการอ่านและข้อมูลชุมชนเกี่ยวกับหนังสือ ซึ่งดำเนินการโดยนักพัฒนาอิสระที่อยู่ในประเทศไทย

ปัจจุบันบริการนี้เปิดให้ผู้ใช้สามารถ:

• เรียกดูข้อมูลหนังสือและซีรีส์
• ดูแลห้องสมุดส่วนตัว
• บันทึกกิจกรรมการอ่าน
• จัดเก็บข้อมูลการซื้อ การยืม สำเนาหนังสือ และแท็ก
• สร้างเนื้อหาสาธารณะบางประเภท เช่น คะแนน ปฏิกิริยา รีวิว และคอลเลกชันสาธารณะ

BookJot อยู่ในช่วง beta และอาจมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงได้ในอนาคต

2. คุณสมบัติของผู้ใช้งาน

ผู้ใช้ต้องมีอายุอย่างน้อย 13 ปีจึงจะสามารถใช้บริการได้

หากคุณอายุต่ำกว่า 13 ปี คุณไม่สามารถใช้งาน BookJot ได้

3. บัญชีผู้ใช้

บางฟีเจอร์จำเป็นต้องใช้บัญชีผู้ใช้

BookJot อาจรองรับ:

• บัญชีอีเมลและรหัสผ่าน
• Google sign-in
• anonymous หรือ guest session สำหรับการใช้งานบางส่วน

คุณมีหน้าที่รับผิดชอบต่อกิจกรรมที่เกิดขึ้นภายใต้บัญชีของคุณ รวมถึงการดูแลข้อมูลการเข้าสู่ระบบให้ปลอดภัย

4. เนื้อหาที่ผู้ใช้สร้าง

ผู้ใช้สามารถส่งหรือสร้างเนื้อหาผ่านบริการได้ เช่น

• คะแนน
• ปฏิกิริยา
• รีวิว
• แท็กส่วนตัวและแท็กสาธารณะ
• คอลเลกชันสาธารณะ
• รูปภาพหรือสื่อที่เกี่ยวข้องกับหนังสือ

ผู้ใช้ยังคงเป็นเจ้าของเนื้อหาที่ตนสร้าง แต่การส่งเนื้อหาเข้าสู่ BookJot ถือว่าผู้ใช้อนุญาตให้ BookJot จัดเก็บ โฮสต์ แสดง และประมวลผลเนื้อหานั้นเท่าที่จำเป็นต่อการให้บริการ

ผู้ใช้ต้องรับผิดชอบว่าได้สิทธิ์ในการอัปโหลดหรือเผยแพร่เนื้อหาที่ส่งเข้าระบบ

5. เนื้อหาสาธารณะและส่วนตัว

บางฟีเจอร์ของ BookJot เปิดให้ผู้ใช้เลือกได้ว่าเนื้อหาจะเป็นสาธารณะหรือส่วนตัว

เนื้อหาสาธารณะอาจปรากฏในพื้นที่ชุมชน เช่น

• สรุปคะแนนเฉลี่ย
• สรุปปฏิกิริยาสาธารณะ
• สรุปแท็กสาธารณะ
• รีวิวที่แสดงต่อผู้ใช้อื่น
• คอลเลกชันสาธารณะ

เนื้อหาส่วนตัวจะมองเห็นได้เฉพาะคุณ เว้นแต่คุณจะเลือกเผยแพร่ผ่านฟีเจอร์สาธารณะด้วยตนเอง

หากเปิดการตั้งค่าความเป็นส่วนตัว BookJot อาจซ่อนหรือปิดบังรายละเอียดของโปรไฟล์บางส่วนในหน้าสาธารณะ

6. Metadata และความถูกต้องของข้อมูล

BookJot อาจมี metadata ที่สร้างหรือแก้ไขโดยผู้ใช้ ผู้ดูแลระบบ การนำเข้าข้อมูล หรือเครื่องมือปรับปรุงข้อมูลอัตโนมัติ

แม้ระบบอาจมีการตรวจสอบและปรับปรุงคุณภาพข้อมูล แต่ BookJot ไม่รับประกันว่าข้อมูลทุกส่วนจะครบถ้วน ถูกต้อง หรือเป็นปัจจุบันเสมอ

7. การใช้งานที่ยอมรับได้

คุณตกลงว่าจะไม่:

• ใช้งานบริการในทางที่ผิดกฎหมาย
• อัปโหลดเนื้อหาที่เป็นอันตราย ละเมิดสิทธิ์ หรือทำให้เข้าใจผิด
• รบกวนการทำงานหรือความปลอดภัยของระบบ
• ใช้ฟีเจอร์ชุมชนหรือเครื่องมือ metadata ในทางที่ก่อให้เกิดความเสียหาย
• พยายามเข้าถึงบัญชี ข้อมูล หรือโครงสร้างพื้นฐานโดยไม่ได้รับอนุญาต

BookJot อาจระงับ จำกัด หรือลบเนื้อหาหรือบัญชีที่ละเมิดข้อกำหนดเหล่านี้

8. การกลั่นกรองและการจัดการโดยผู้ดูแล

ผู้ดูแลบริการอาจลบ แก้ไข หรือจำกัดการเข้าถึงเนื้อหาที่:

• ละเมิดข้อกำหนดนี้
• มีลักษณะเป็นอันตราย ผิดกฎหมาย หรือไม่เหมาะสม
• ละเมิดทรัพย์สินทางปัญญาหรือสิทธิความเป็นส่วนตัว
• กระทบต่อความน่าเชื่อถือหรือความถูกต้องของบริการ

เครื่องมือผู้ดูแลอาจถูกใช้เพื่อดูแลคุณภาพของ shared metadata ด้วย

9. โฆษณาและฟีเจอร์แบบชำระเงิน

BookJot อาจแสดงโฆษณาแก่ผู้ใช้บางกลุ่ม และอาจมีแผนแบบชำระเงินหรือฟีเจอร์แบบเสียเงินในอนาคต

ลักษณะการแสดงโฆษณาหรือการเข้าถึงฟีเจอร์อาจแตกต่างกันตามระดับบัญชี ฟีเจอร์ที่เปิดใช้ หรือสถานะของผู้ใช้

หากมีการชำระเงินในอนาคต ระบบอาจใช้ผู้ให้บริการภายนอกในการประมวลผล

10. การลบบัญชี

คุณสามารถร้องขอการลบบัญชีได้

เมื่อมีการลบบัญชี:

• ข้อมูลส่วนตัวที่เป็นส่วนบุคคลจะถูกลบเมื่อสามารถทำได้อย่างสมเหตุสมผล
• เนื้อหาสาธารณะบางส่วนอาจยังคงอยู่ในรูปแบบที่ไม่สามารถระบุตัวตนได้ เพื่อรักษาความต่อเนื่องของข้อมูลชุมชน

ตัวอย่างเช่น รีวิวสาธารณะ แท็กสาธารณะ หรือคอลเลกชันสาธารณะบางรายการอาจยังคงอยู่หลังจากลบตัวตนของผู้ใช้แล้ว

11. ความพร้อมของบริการ

BookJot ให้บริการในลักษณะ "ตามสภาพ" และ "ตามที่มี"

เนื่องจากบริการยังอยู่ในช่วง beta ฟีเจอร์อาจถูกเปลี่ยนแปลง หยุดชั่วคราว หรือยกเลิกได้โดยไม่ต้องแจ้งล่วงหน้า

เราไม่รับประกันว่าบริการจะพร้อมใช้งานตลอดเวลา ข้อมูลจะคงอยู่ตลอดไป หรือระบบจะปลอดข้อผิดพลาด

12. การจำกัดความรับผิด

เท่าที่กฎหมายอนุญาต BookJot และผู้ดำเนินการไม่รับผิดชอบต่อ:

• การสูญหายของข้อมูล
• การหยุดชะงักของบริการ
• ความไม่ถูกต้องของ metadata
• ความเสียหายทางอ้อม ความเสียหายต่อเนื่อง หรือความเสียหายที่เกิดจากการใช้บริการ

การใช้งานบริการเป็นความเสี่ยงของผู้ใช้เอง

13. กฎหมายที่ใช้บังคับและการติดต่อ

ข้อกำหนดนี้อยู่ภายใต้กฎหมายของประเทศไทย
